Instructions for new users @ext.unipd.it
This page illustrates the key steps for new users to complete their registration for the @ext.unipd.it service, as well as the most common procedures and issues.
User guides will be available at the bottom of the page.
NEW USER REGISTRATION
1. Open the invitation email
Look for the invitation email in the inbox you used to communicate with the Department.
Open the email and click on the registration link.
If it is not visible in your inbox, check:
- The Spam, Promotions and Updates folders
- Ensure there is enough available space in the email account used to communicate with the Department
---> If you do not receive the email
Users with an @ext.unipd.it email address must contact the host Department to request a new invitation.
2. Choose your registration method
You can register in two different ways.
During the registration procedure, it follows one link, one chosen procedure: once you have chosen the method, you cannot opt for the other using the same link;
you must therefore request a new link from the host Department in order to use the other option.
- Registration via SPID / CIE
If you have SPID or CIE, choose this option as it is quicker.
Proceed with authentication and fill in any missing information,
and choose a security-compliant password:- at least 8 characters
- containing both letters and numbers
- not simple or obvious (a strong password is required)
- Manual Registration
Fill in all the required fields and choose a security-compliant password:- at least 8 characters
- containing both letters and numbers
- not simple or obvious (a strong password is required)
N.B.: Store your password in a safe place.
3. Confirm registration
Once you have entered all the details correctly, press the confirmation button.
The registration process is now complete.
You will receive a notification with your assigned username, which you can use, together with your password, to access the University's services.
FAQ
---> What if the LINK in the invitation email does not work
If nothing happens when you click the email link, or if an error appears:
- Check the date of the invitation email: if it is older than 7 days, the link may have expired; you would therefore need to request a new one from the host Department.
- IMPORTANT: once you have started the registration process, you cannot change the registration method (see 2. Choose your registration method).
