L'area Servizi Informatici ha acquistato una licenza perpetua che permette installazioni illimitate per tutto il personale e gli studenti dell'Università di Padova. Include un anno di aggiornamenti del software e supporto tecnico.

La licenza include i moduli ArrayStar, EditSeq, GeneQuest, GenVision Pro, MegAlign, MegAlign Pro, Protean 3D, SeqBuilder Pro, SeqMan NGen, SeqMan Pro, SeqMan Ultra e SeqNinja.

Specifiche tecniche (in inglese):

• DNASTAR Lasergene Software is FDCC compliant.
• DNASTAR software does not encrypt user data or data-at-rest.
• DNASTAR Software does not store credentials except in ArrayStar for Affymetrix logins. The Affymetrix login is encrypted stored in the local file system under the user’s profile subject to standard security.
• There is no password requirement to use the software.
• DNASTAR software does not have any known significant vulnerabilities.

Nella directory https://software.unipd.it/software/DNASTAR_LASERGENE_NETWORK/Per motivate esigenze è possibile richiedere (aprendo un Ticket nella coda AREA SERVIZI INFORMATICI E TELEMATICI - SETTORE AMMINISTRAZIONE - Contratti Software) la versione standalone utilizzabile anche al di fuori della rete di Ateneo.
